So as I am sure you have heard, last week Ofcom gave the approval for the Royal Mail to set their own pricing for stamps, this then lead to the inevitable announcement that the cost of a first class stamp would rise from 46p to 60p. Although the price of a second class stamp has been capped by Ofcom to a maximum of 55p, the Royal Mail has also announced an increase for this from 36p to 50p. These changes are due to come into affect from the 30th of April this year.
