European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2019 – Finalist
Frontline are delighted to be announced as finalists in the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2019 for the second year running.
Now in their 11th year, the European IT & Software Excellence Awards are given for IT solutions that get to the heart of customer issues, delivering better business, a clearer understanding of data, and more efficient and profitable outcomes.
Frontline has been shortlisted within the ‘Vertical Market Solution of the Year’ category for the work carried out with long standing customer, Meter Provida – the UK’s leading independent smart, gas, water and electric metering specialist.
Meter Provida were looking to improve efficiencies and reduced costs within their warehouses. Due to the UK wide smart meter roll out, Meter Provida required a software solution in order to help manage the collection and sorting of thousands of removed meters. Frontline developed a Reverse Logistics (RL) solution for Meter Provida to automate the returns process.
Lee Jones – Head of IT at Meter Provida comments on the project; “We commissioned Frontline to re-develop the business system software for our reverse logistics facility. The business experienced rapid growth and our current process could not cope with either the increased capacity or the reporting needs of our customers. The new solution developed by Frontline was designed to be both functional and scalable, and a key requirement was to recover efficiency from the current process, in order to allow the business to continue to grow at a rapid pace whilst keeping headcount at a sensible level. This has delivered an increase in throughput through the facility of 60% and provided our customers with enhanced real time reporting of the status of their assets. The project was professionally managed from start to finish with delivery on time and close to budget, even with a number of changes in the defined scope.”
Frontline Managing Director, Caine Fearn states; “We are pleased to be recognised alongside a number of leading IT companies across Europe. A special mention has to go out to the fantastic Frontline team who worked on the project and of course to our customer, Meter Provida. Good luck to all the finalists and see you in a few weeks.”
This year the Awards Dinner will be co-located with Channel-Sec 2019, an event focused on the security sector. The winners will be announced at the European IT & Software Excellence 2019 Awards Dinner at the Royal Garden Hotel, on 14th March 2019.
