European Cyber Security Month
As you may or may not be aware, we are half way through ‘Cyber Security Month’. The campaign originated in the US back in 2004 and came to the UK in 2012 with European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) managed by the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENSIA).
The aim is to promote cyber security issues and raise awareness amongst businesses and individuals, to help enable people to modify their behaviours and protect themselves online.
The recent ‘Global Risk Report 2018’ by the World Economic Forum highlighted cyber security alongside environmental issues as key topics that could cause global disruption over the next five years. With cyber security breaches becoming headline news now, awareness is key in protecting yourself and your business.

How can you protect your business?
Start the conversation. If you are not already talking about and planning cyber security measures that your business could take then do it now! Also, make sure these conversations are being had across the entire business, not just at board/director level as more and more cyber-attacks are targeting the individual using social engineering rather than the IT systems themselves, so once again, awareness is key!
