Managed Services Project Manager

Reporting To Service Delivery Director

Job Background
This role is born from the increased number of internal and external customer projects due to the development of Frontline Managed Service offerings.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to fully own a range of customer facing and internal technology projects end-to-end while demonstrating exceptional customer service and ensuring work is delivered on time and to budget.

Principal Responsibilities
• Full financial ownership and accountability for projects
• Ensure that detailed project plans are developed and agreed with clients to set and meet their expectations
• Ensure that all project delivery conforms to the company’s implementation methodology and ISO procedures
• Identify and communicate the skills, experience, personal attributes and manpower requirements for the successful delivery of projects so that appropriate resources can be allocated or sourced
• Build a strong relationship with the Technical Consultancy team
• Working with other Project Managers, negotiate project resource requirements to develop robust schedules that support high quality project delivery
• Complete the defined project change process to ensure the project remains on track and commercially sound
• Consider and provide input to management to enable the development and continual improvement of Frontline’s service offerings
• Produce clear and concise reports for both customer and management
• Escalate potential problems to company management as soon as these are identified.
• Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Demonstrable experience of delivering client facing projects in a faced paced technology focused environment
• At least +3 years’ experience of delivering projects end-to-end including budgetary ownership
• Able to manage between 5-10 projects simultaneously (size dependent)
• Experience in delivering public and private cloud based IT solutions in a customer facing capacity
• Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
• Aptitude to work on your own whilst demonstrating initiative but with the ability to form strong relationships and understand the value of being part of, and developing a strong team culture
• Prince2/PMP certified
• Ability to facilitate technical and planning workshops with customers and project team members
• Ability to develop processes and documentation and always looking for opportunities to improve and align to business strategy
• High level of attention to detail and able to relay complex information in a way that can be easily understood
• Proactively manages project risks (RAID log)
• Project kick-off and development of clear Project Initiation Documentation
• Experience in developing communication plans in line with customer requirements
• Strong business acumen
• Build strong relationships across all business departments
• Microsoft Project
• Ideally experience using Microsoft Dynamics/PSA or similar CRM system

Working Conditions

Monday-Friday 9 to 5:30 but flexible based on customer/project needs. The role is office based with travel to customer sites when required (predominantly but not limited to north-west England). This is typically a 70% – 30% split between office and customer sites but this changes project by project. Potential to work from home 1 or 2 days per week dependant on project requirements but always ensuring there is appropriate team cover in the office on any given day.
